THE AMBASSADOR BRIDGE
Detroit, Michigan USA to Windsor, Ontario, Canada

This is an update on the post about finding the marriage record of my grandparents, Harry W. Gould & Marie Lindsay.
See my post Wedding Wednesday - Where were they married?
I mentioned in my post that they had "driven across the bridge" from Detroit into Windsor, Ontario, Canada to get married. Turns out they probably took a ferry.
I learned yet again, that we should never assume anything. And, I continue to learn new things.
Thanks for stopping by.
See you soon,

As it turns out, the Ambassador Bridge connecting the two countries wasn't built until 1929.
You can find a good article about the Ambassador Bridge in wikipedia at this link
