I have so much more to research on this family. Right now my research has come to a near halt as I am living in a temporary home in a new state, until our home is ready. Kind of unsettles you from your regular routine for sure. I appreciate your comment and hope you'll visit my blog again once I start writing again.Diane Gould Hallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15362418860289987479noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-211578983663662204.post-60312353426352259392024-01-18T12:39:33.119-08:002024-01-18T12:39:33.119-08:00Sorry to have posted so many of the same comment. ...Sorry to have posted so many of the same comment. Wasn't sure if the comment(s) had posted. I can give you much on NP Fenner Sr and his children although I do not have any photos of them. This group of Fenners migrated from what is now West Virginia into Cincinnati by 1880. There, they were quite well to do. However, by the 1930's they had either relocated to Lima, Ohio and Chicago or had passed away. Olive Fenner was an opra signer during the mid-1910s in Cincinnati. She married James Duncan Copeland Sr in Chicago in 1918. The family essentially "followed" her there.Soenksenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18413385130460433705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-211578983663662204.post-55284926428482701912024-01-16T16:12:21.458-08:002024-01-16T16:12:21.458-08:00Thank you for your comment. Just ...Hello, sorry to comment rather late on this. Just to improve a little on the Google translation of the German Lutheran catechism, I think "Bfarrherren and Brediger" should be "pastors and preachers," and "lutherifcher concordia = overlay" should be Concordia Lutheran - Publisher." (That gothic "B" is actually a "P." "Verlag" = publisher). I hope this helps - I enjoy your blog!Jim A.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09219262651213099168noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-211578983663662204.post-83534549089704111132024-01-11T17:08:30.291-08:002024-01-11T17:08:30.291-08:00Hi! We moved into our home in Ramona before I began doing genealogy research. Glad that I have been a bit of a "keeper" since I was in grade school. I was only 13 when President Kennedy was assasinated, and yet I kept all the newspapers. And oh so many other things. I am the son of Alexander Milne III And my great grandfather Was one of the original Alexander Milnes to come to America from Scotland - He was a Stone Mason - owned quarries in Connecticut and the surrounding areas and built many churches and buildings that still stand today. I recently found the Milne family Bible within some of the relics saved by my grandmother. It is a very large leather bound book - and fascinated me as to how long it has endured. There are other members of our family that live - Mostly along the east coast - that I have have learned alot of history from. I still enjoy the stories to this day. Thanks for sharing the Milne story. Was great to read.Daren Milnenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-211578983663662204.post-81332221057248395352023-09-13T11:19:42.903-07:002023-09-13T11:19:42.903-07:00A really good option for organizing photos, of any...A really good option for organizing photos, of any kind, is a software program called Historian available from forever.com. I use this extensively. You can tag multiple people in 1 photo, organize them into albums, do a bit of photo editing, update the dates for scanned photos and then use those dates for an organized timeline. It also has search capabilities. If a Forever account is created (optional), you can also upload the photos to Forever for safekeeping and Forever has an app that allows phone photos to automatically upload where they are safe (Forever has free accounts, but a paid account ensures the safety of photos). Historian by itself, however, is very worthwhile. Anyone familiar with Creative Memories' Memory Manager software, will understand the capabilities, as Historian is an upgrade to that software but now owned by Forever. I am a HUGE fan!.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-211578983663662204.post-9915096241439914452023-07-05T13:54:01.199-07:002023-07-05T13:54:01.199-07:00The referral sites no longer in use.
