However, I do know that some of my "Scottish" ancestors were born in Ireland. I always thought they were Scottish and the families had moved due to some financial problems etc. Now I think there may be more to that Irish connection. I am not well versed in Irish research and need to learn more. Good luck with your research. We are half German from both sides of the family, and yet we are showing a lot of Scandinavian and English/Irish/Scottish.
